Transportation

  • Campus Shuttles
    The University operates three convenient shuttle routes on campus: Bulla to Main; Bulla to Library to Snite; and Baseball to McKenna. The routes run continuously from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, arriving approximately every 10 minutes. Use the ND Mobile app or this website to track the real-time location of the shuttle buses.

  • TRANSPO 
    South Bend's bus system is fare-free transportation provided to University students, faculty, and staff on all routes in the South Bend/Mishawaka area with a valid University ID. The #5 Route and the #7 Route provide convenient transportation within close proximity to campus.
  • The SWEEP
    Part of South Bend Transpo, this bus connects ND, Holy Cross College, Saint Mary's College with a stop at the Family Resource Center at Beichner Hall during the academic year
  • Zipcar
    Zipcar allows students, faculty, and staff a self-service option for short-term car rental that includes low hourly and daily rates with cars conveniently located on campus.
  • South Shore Line
    This commuter train line is an inexpensive and convenient way to travel to Chicago or a variety of Northwest Indiana destinations. 
  • Two Amtrak stations are located nearby in South Bend and Niles, Mich., which include connections to Detroit and Chicago.
