Art Lab

-

Location: Raclin Murphy Museum of Art (View on map )

Children in a bright classroom create sculptures using wood, wire, and beads. A boy in a gray hoodie manipulates green wire, another boy cuts materials, and a girl works on a tall beaded figure. Colorful craft supplies are spread across black tables.

FREE but registration is required. Limited to 15 children.
In Art Lab, young artists will take a deep dive into a single artwork from the Museum’s collection, exploring its stories, techniques, and meaning through close looking and discussion. After experiencing the artwork up close, we’ll head to the studio to create works inspired by our time in the gallery.

This month, we will focus on Joan Miró’s painting Signs and Configurations.

This workshop is designed for children ages 9 to 12.
