Academic Training (AT) Information Session

-

Location: Virtual (Due to inclement weather)

Academic Training (AT) allows J-1 international students to engage in temporary employment after graduation for practical training directly related to their majors.

To apply for employment authorization for Academic Training, students must attend an information session presented by International Student and Scholar Affairs. This session provides information about your eligibility and responsibilities related to AT, and a student immigration advisor will walk through the application process.

If your program end date is May 2026, then you should be thinking about your AT application timeline in January 2026.

  • Bring your computer, so you can initiate the process during the session.
