Tarwater by Colin Cutler (cover)

Join the de Nicola Center for a concert featuring Greensboro-based songwriter Colin Cutler, in conversation with Jennifer Newsome Martin (Theology, Program of Liberal Studies).

An Army veteran who traded in his rifle for a banjo and guitar, Cutler’s music spans the breadth of Americana, from Appalachian old-time to blues to old-school country to folk rock, with lyrics rooted in the earthy storytelling traditions of the South, his Pentecostal upbringing, and literature. His latest album, Tarwater, features songs inspired by the short stories of Flannery O’Connor.

Join us at Legends, south of Notre Dame Stadium. Reception and doors open at 7 p.m., with music and conversation beginning at 7:30 p.m. No RSVP required; free and open to the public.
