Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Mary

Mass to celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 11:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. 

The Immaculate Conception, a Holy Day of Obligation, celebrates the special grace given by God to Mary which preserved her from original sin from the very moment of her conception in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne, and which prepared her to be the Mother of Jesus Christ. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
