Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary

Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary will be held on Monday, Dec. 9* at 11:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. (music provided by the Glee Club) in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.

The Immaculate Conception celebrates the special grace given by God to Mary which preserved her from original sin from the very moment of her conception in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne, and which prepared her to be the Mother of Jesus Christ.

*In 2019, this feast is moved to Dec. 9. and is not a holy day of obligation this year.
